Treasure Hunt Party Plan

Here is a suggested plan for your treasure hunt party, we have done this a few times now ourselves and it works a treat!

Also see our suggestions for where to hide your treasure markers!

We usually hold our parties between 2-4pm to avoid a major catering requirement!

2 - 2.15pm - Party guests to arrive! Opening presents for 10-15 mins until everyone has arrived.

2.15 - 2.30pm - 2 or 3 party games (eg. pass the parcel and musical statues)

2.30 - 3pm - It's Treasure Hunt time! (includes 10 mins outdoor play)

Tip - collect all the party bags (to avoid children eating the treats and loosing their treasure before lunch) by asking them who would like a piece of birthday cake to take home with them. Collect all the bags in a box and reassure them that their names are on the bags and they wont get mixed up.

3 - 3.30pm - Colouring activity - great for getting children to calm down ready for lunch. (see our party activities for FREE themed activities to print out)

3.30 - 3.50 pm - Party food and the singing of 'Happy Birthday' followed by the cake and blowing out the candles!

3.50pm - Story time (read a story to fit your party theme, it quietens the kids down a bit before they go home)

4pm - Home time! Don't let them forget their party bags from the treasure hunt (Tip - always put their names on the bags to avoid arguments!)
